DAY 01 SINGAPORE / KUCHING - SANTUBONG
WILDLIFE CRUISE
Depart by scheduled flight for Kuching, the capital city of
Sarawak. Meet upon arrival and transfer to your choice of hotels
. Late this afernoon embark on an exciting Santubong Wildlife
Cruise which takes you around the rivers of the Santubong Peninsular,
offering you the chance of seeing some of Sarwak's fascinating
wildlife. The cruise criss-crosses the mouth of the Santubong
River where the rare Irrawaddy dolphins are often seen swimming
and diving in the estuary. Your boat then cruises along the
mangrove banks in search of the rare Proboscis monkeys, ofter
seen in the treetops at the water edge settling down for the
night. As dusk arrives,we watch the fire-flies moving amongst
the branches of the mangrove and we might see crocodiles which
an be spotted by their brightly shinning eyes when shine upon
by torchlights. (Note : Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed,
however our local tour operator do enjoy a high success rate
and the tour do not operate during rainy weather).
DAY 02 KUCHING - ANAH RAIS (BIDAYU) LONGHOUSE -
SEMENGGOH WILDLIFE REHABILITATION - CENTRE (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, take a scenic drive that takes
you through lush green countryside dotted with padi fields,
pepper gardens, rubber plantations and flanked by jungle-clad
mountains before arriving at the longhouse. Anah Rais Longhouse,
which stands on the same site where it was built 200 years ago.
Its unique architecture built mainly of bamboo, wood and leaves.
The Bidayuh are absolutely warm and gentle people whose prefious
ancestor once lived as farmers and believed in animism. Thereafter,
drive to Semonggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, which provides
a rare opportunity to be at close encounter with the semi-wild
orang utan, who have been rescued from captivity and trained
to survive in the surrounding forest reserve. The rehabilitated
animals roam freely in the rainforest and often return to the
centre at feeding times.
DAY 03 KUCHING (Breakfast)
Free day for you to explore the main streets of Kuching city,
where you can view historical buildings built during the White
Rajah era or visit the world famous Sarawak Museum (all within
walking distance from your hotel) You may also choose to join
an optional tours to Bako National Park or the Sarawak Cultural
Village.
DAY 04 KUCHING / SINGAPORE (Breakfast)
Bid farewell to Sarawak as you will be transferred to the airport
for your flight back to Singapore.

be rearranged due to flight sequence and by local tour operator
